rejection

Reaching
Every
Juncture
Every
Crevice
Tearing
Inches
Out
...Negating

2008 June 9th

You are in my thoughts
At this present time
All sense is lost
Controlled by lust
Clear thoughts to touch, elude you
You will not trust me
I am a mere man- figuratively speaking
You: vaguely holding rejection in your own hands...
Fate of the day's self acceptance lands squarely at your feet
You will step over it, as it is your custom
The view of your soles' intricate design, magnified by my presence
So close to the floor...
Someone so one
Someone so whole, doth hath power to break mind's stronghold from clenched grasps
I've released you...
Though you did not know I could
Power possession bewilders those who block whole scribes from their souls
Are you one who tears at life?
Rejoiced or befuddled behind muted eyes?

Morning Meds...

I'll just say that in time I'll grow into the much needed savior you desire. You desire a clear head: clarity for your dreams. A road less traveled but it seems your route will be determined as you take your first step. The method of enchanted progress.

Blink of an Eye

Time has gone by
Seconds split the silence of my mind
The screams are doused by this pounding in my aorta
Pump...Pump...
The blood jumps: veins to capillaries
Visions to dignitaries
A beautiful scenic route
Traveled on the atlas of my soul
Heart's quest;
The goal at times is smothered by mind's landscape
At lights rate approaching warp speed
At this pace I seek to erase this timeline of pain
Drained from pipe dreams
Blame placed on deferred sequences
A missed chance, an artist's glance at their muse
Peruse events on which you choose to place on snooze
A hiatus
Until you get your shit together...so to speak
Or so it speaks to your lack of luster
A brilliant glow dimmed by the lack of faith it takes to muster up
The concept of free falling to your destiny...

Thinking In Music

Lyrics pulse through my veins
Water coursing through my system
A baptizing effect
Always compelled to stand and listen
To the pounding of my soul's escape
From complacency: A Syndrome
I am not satisfied with the mundanity of the here and now
Conjoined Chakras doth take you further than confusion allows
Anyhow or any who the routes to choose are endless
Letters attach to words, combining to awake the senses
And I have been this: Other being before
Who failed to wrap her mind around the potential her soul had stored
And to the shore I sojourn to bathe my body
Water’s surround sound preludes the thirsty melody
Tapping the feet, fingers snap, then comes the movement
So sways the body
Undercurrent propels to prove it
Hmmm, an idea
An idea comes in a chord
Forms of vibrations taking shapes sharp like swords
Or flat as the earth was once perceived to be
Spherical formations; my mouth carves out the fallacies
Or a false notion: for those who require layman’s speech
I breech the very barriers of personal hell with one Heave-Ho
Breathless am I but soul glows in my stead
Music chronicles the battle that died slowly in my head
But there is peace
It is said that peace surpasses
The ear drum beats, the heart, strings and the bass it blasts this...
Soul's soundtrack
I succumb to it once more
A percussion's rhythm:
I manifest that this is how I must be heard
In one glance I see my brain peaked on a canvas of beats and words

On How to Proceed

So the best thing is to continue to write from the soul
Never stop 'cause the sentiments cease to grow old
To grab hold of your blessings one must step back and wait
Put your mind into a trance and set aside mental debates
Take the steps that it takes to trace the tracks of your tears
Or maybe fears, take glance at whose wronged you throughout the years
More clear will be the view from meditations pedestal
Your soul is full of transgressions past
But healing is present
So contemplate on the message of life's lessons
My mind's stressing on how I can be an asset to this world
Trapped by the limitations of race- but it's unfurled
Spines uncurled from rising out the cellars of slavery
So sad you see are the struggles of tattered minorities
Majority still clamps down on the weak muscles of the wounded
Assumed is our fate to assimilate into the infrastructure
But I debunk your theories of principalities
For the prince seemed to be the rotten G.W.B.
This country is continuously carried on the bodies of our mares
Colorful sisters shoulder burdens on blistered backs
And yet we stare
Through numbed hearts strings plucking on the bass beats of essential existence
Quickened by the fervor of a nation empowered by GRANDMA'S HANDS
Picked me up each time I fell
Gave strength to the biracial boy who changed the nation
A sweet collaboration of truth and retrospect
He is my reparations
Translation?: restoration to good condition
Sometimes to listen eyes must be kept WIDE SHUT
Before the abrupt themes of racism grow strength to muster up- A revolution
It will be televised based on the loop holes of OUR constitution
For retribution in the after-life is no solution
It's my conclusion that procession comes from abolishing delusions
But you could keep snoozing and drooling...
Or take heed to what I'm doing
1. gET yOUR mIND rIGHT
How? Focus your sight...Keep eyes on the prize of truth bursting from soul's light.
2. How are you gonna be you unless you know you...so take time to learn yourself, cause can't no one show you!
And 3. Concentrate on obliterating negativity from your atmosphere.
The scope is clearer when condensation falls away from the mirror
That's how WE proceed to give YOU what you need
Takes a village to raise a child
But as you can see there's only one me...

The Brain's Tangent

Tryna come up with the words to put up pon dis paper

Rhymes rolling in my head rising up like water vapors

But you’re safer with those wack lyrics you spit out of your lips

So quick wid it

The verbs you speak are volatile to your I.Q.

You scream kindergarten shit and I spew Afro-Parables

But how do you

Even dare challenge my intellect

I weave threads around my nation

While you stay home masturbating

While I’m debating on politics and racial ethics

You stuck on the toilet struggling to take a mean ass shit

A constipated dialect

Your communications read null & void

I let my words deploy

Raining fresh and clean like an Altoid

So breathe deep and catch an awakening

Nouns flow sick like cancer patients up out this mouth piece

Just so discreet with the way I chew a hole through these streets

Knee deep in the strife and sewage of my four fathers

I am smarter than your corner bound Niggas high on Marijuana

I’m a little bit of silent and deadly

Coming swiftly in your dreams

Slicing holes through you like Freddy

Like Ugly Betty, beauty lies just below the surface

A flower flourishes with nourishment from the fountain of youth

100 Proof

Lick her spot make your girl testify that I’m the truth

But I rebuke you salty ass kinsmen from my atmosphere

Your flow stinks like defecation out an elephant’s rear

Still I see clear and still I rise

Like the Psalms of a great woman that birthed a nation of conscious minds

Your feeble kind scared to challenge for fear of an uphill climb

Scared of putting in work

Trembling at the thought of dirt smudged on your pastel shirt

Muddy claws digging holes to stick your head into

I send you to the dunce stool while I work on pleasure principles

Yo, verbally I kill you

I’m magically delicious

My lucky charms turn heads

I’ve been seeing over you midgets

A titan in the game

A giant breaking the chains of demise

Linking wordplay with phrases and making no compromise
